Katowice Open 2015is the biggest WTA tennis tournament in Poland. During last year's edition the most important games in "Spodek" hall attracted nearly 7,000 spectators. Katowice tournament is also a tennis festival on the highest world level and an excellent promotion of sport not only in Katowice but also in the whole Poland.
This year for the first time the tournament is played at two courts: in the hall in Katowice "Spodek" and in the neighbouring International Congress Centre, the new facilities of the total area measuring nearly 39,000 m2. .
Katowice Open 2015 tournament matches are played from 6th to 12th Apr. while its qualifying rounds 4th-6th Apr.

We are pleased that this year for the third time WTA International dwells in Katowice. In this year's edition, among other competitors, Agnieszka Radwańska, Alizé Cornet or Karolina Pliskova will appear. Katowice tournament editions so far have proved successful both in terms of supreme level sports emotions but also thanks to a reliable organisation of the event. We want Katowice Open to be the event working for the promotion of this gorgeous sport in our country owing to a very strong line-up of the main tournament.

Katowice will once more proudly host a unique sports event, namely a prestigious WTA tournament in which, among others, Agnieszka Radwańska has announced her participation. For us, it is an excellent chance for promotion, but also demonstrating our skills as the host. We have a varied hotel base and wonderful clubs and restaurants. Katowice is not only the Polish capital of tennis but also a city of culture. What's important, Polish tennis players' struggles can be viewed in the magnificent "Spodek" hall, the symbol of the city and one of the most recognisable spectator and sports halls in Poland. Thousands of supporters on the spot and in front of the TV sets guarantee that Katowice will be remembered to fans of this gorgeous discipline in the whole world. I hope that these memories will be unique.
